Ingredients

500 g ripe tomatoes, sliced

400 g fresh mozzarella (preferably buffalo), sliced

Extra virgin olive oil

Fresh basil leaves

Fine sea salt

Steps

  1. Arrange the tomato and mozzarella slices alternately on a plate.

  2. Season lightly with salt.

  3. Drizzle with olive oil.

  4. Finish with fresh basil leaves.

  5. Serve immediately.

Serve at room temperature. Traditionally eaten without vinegar or balsamic glaze.
